We have planned this excursion to get to discover the most important prehistoric and natural monuments of Antequera (Málaga). The Torcal is a Geo-Park very relevant as Karst landscape. The old city, on the top of the hill, has a well preserved Arabic castle and Roman remains. Also important churches from the Renaissance and Baroque periods.
Starting and finishing point: Our coaches have collection points along the coast from Fuengirola to Málaga City.

Our tour guides speak mainly Spanish and English, but they also have a good understanding of another European languages. The prices of our tours are “all inclusive”. There are no extra charges of any sort.
Stage 1 ~We will drive you 30 kilometres out of the city and up into the mountains to visit the nature reserve of ‘El Torcal’ which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in July 2016. There we will have morning coffee on the balcony overlooking the unique mountain chains and valleys that stretch all the way to the Mediterranean Sea.
Stage 2 ~ The next stop on the tour will be a first class, three-course lunch at one of the great rural restaurants that can be found hidden in the Málaga countryside. El “Caserio de San Benito”, a member of The Distinguished Establishments of Andalucia is a family owned restaurant situated a few kilometres west of the wealthy and ancient town of Antequera.
Stage 3 ~ After lunch we will take you to visit to the Antequera Dolmens Site, also part of the UNESCO World Heritage List. The Antequera Dolmens our 5,000 years old and have been described as ‘an outstanding example of megalithic architecture’.
Stage 4 ~ Finally, we will turn for home and have a break and a coffee at the Wayside Inn.

As our tours are “All Inclusive” even the drinks and wines are on us. We truly hope you enjoy the experience.
We recommend comfortable walking shoes. In the winter a warm sweater and jacket, Malaga is surprisingly diverse and can get quite chilly up the mountains. A hat and sun cream all year round to protect you from the sun.
